Technique: Hand stitched.
Medium: Hand dyed and commercially printed cotton.
The river runs through the dunes and the fish goes with it.
A button fish stitched to hand dyed turquoise fabric. Hand appliquéd onto brown and olive hand dyed fabric. The glass beads are stitched around the river outline. The background is hand quilted with cotton variegated thread.
Chenille and cotton threads are couched onto the dunes. The lighter coloured dunes near the edge of the river are raised using trapunto. The edges are outlined in stem stitch embroidery.
Variegated cotton, and chenille thread is couched onto the dunes.
