Another example of the fractal elements in nature - this fractal spiral resembles a fern frond.

The image is printed on treated pima cotton using an inkjet printer.

Silk ribbon and rayon thread french knots embroidered by hand. Quilting done by hand using variegated cotton thread.

The hand embroidery and quilting picks out the fractal design of the fern.
