Pattern: Rose bunch.
Technique: Hand appliquéd and quilted.
Medium: Commercially printed cotton fabric and flexible mirror.
A morphed rose bunch. The center is left clear. This is where the mirror is placed to reflect the stretched image.
Once the conical mirror is placed at the center of the quilt the catoptric perspective reflects the mirrored rose bunch accurately.
Commercially printed cotton is cut into shape and hand appliquéd onto the background. This is a close up of the appliqué and hand stitching.
