This is the last house I lived in before leaving the Caribbean. My husband and I shared this little wooden home overlooking V C Bird Airport. We were part of a little enclave of rental properties - the West Indian version of a gated community! The houses were small and the doors and windows were always open. Most of the time we lived outdoors.
